Please note that dry chemical extinguishers are required by law to be mounted on vehicles transporting Dangerous Goods of a placard load.

Vehicles transporting Dangerous Goods must have one dry chemical extinguisher external to the vehicle. Vehicles transporting Bulk Dangerous Goods must have one 10B dry chemical extinguisher fitted in the cabin of th vehicle and if the vehicle is transporting non-flammable Dangerous Goods or flammable Dangerous Goods on a vehicle with a capacity less than 10,000 litres / kg, must be fitted with at least one 60B (4.5kg) dry chemical extinguisher.

Vehicles transporting bulk flammable Dangerous Goods on vehicles with a capacity exceeding 10,000 litres / kg must be fitted with at least two 60B dry chemical extinguishers.
